Forest Coloring Page

Inside a forest, sunlight doesn't reach the ground evenly: it filters through the leaves and forms patches that shift whenever the wind stirs the branches. Moss and small shade-loving plants grow between the trunks, and the air often feels damper than outside the forest. There's the crunch of branches underfoot, the call of some bird hidden among the treetops, and now and then the quick movement of an animal slipping away when it senses someone getting closer. On this coloring page you can use several different greens for the trees instead of repeating the same shade on every leaf. Try marking the paths that open up between the trunks with a separate color too, like trails inviting you to keep exploring the rest of the drawing.
