Each branch of this family tree can carry the name of someone in your family, so it helps to think about who goes where before you start coloring. The higher branches usually hold the newer family members, while the trunk and roots stand for those who came before. You can assign a different color to each main branch to tell whole family lines apart, or use the same color for the entire tree and save distinct tones for the leaves where each name goes. If you share this drawing with an older member of your family, they might help you remember something you don't yet know about who is who.
