Sunflower in a pot Coloring Page

On a balcony or beside a window, a potted sunflower needs someone to check the soil almost every day, since it dries out faster than one planted in open ground. The pot usually ends up facing toward the light, and over time the whole plant leans slightly that way. Watering it early, before the sun gets strong, helps keep the leaves from wilting during the hottest hours. Sometimes the stem needs to be tied to a thin stake so it does not bend under the flower's weight. While coloring this drawing, pay attention to the pot: you can give it a clay-like texture with small cracks or specks, different from the smooth surface of the flower. The upper rim of the pot is a good spot to mark shadow.
