A manta ray can grow wider than a car is long, yet this gentle giant eats some of the tiniest food in the sea, filtering clouds of plankton as it swims with its mouth open. Mantas are clever and curious, with one of the largest brains of any fish, and each one has its own special pattern of spots on its belly, like a fingerprint. Color the top of its wings a dark gray or deep blue and the underside a soft white, scattering a few darker spots across it. Picture clear, sunlit ocean all around as it soars peacefully through the blue.
