About Manta Ray Coloring Page to Print Free

A manta ray moves by flapping its wide fins like wings, rising and dipping in a wave-like motion that looks slow but carries it far with every beat. It swims near the surface when there is plenty of food floating in the water, opening its mouth wide to let the water pass through as it goes. It likes to pass close to other rays, and sometimes several swim together in a line, as if following one another were part of the journey. When something startles it, it makes a wide turn and glides away slowly, unhurried, swinging its long thin tail behind its body. Its skin is smooth on top and lighter underneath, and the edges of its fins curve into soft points along the sides.
