Inside an open flower, a fairy sleeps curled up among the petals, which close just slightly toward nighttime as if tucking her in. Her breathing is slow and even, and every so often a hand moves without her fully waking. The flower's stem bends a little under the weight, though it holds the rest steady without giving way suddenly. An insect passing nearby pauses for a moment on a neighboring petal and continues on without coming any closer. In the morning, the dew left on the petals dampens just the edge of one of the fairy's wings. In this picture you can choose one color for the petals and a different, soft one for the fairy resting inside. Try shading the center of the flower with a deeper tone too.
