A scarecrow's outstretched arms sway slowly every time a gust of wind passes through the cornfield. The old clothes he wears are stuffed with straw up to the collar, and a few strands poke out through the cuffs of the patched shirt. At his feet, pumpkins of different sizes are stacked into a small pyramid beside the wooden post that holds him upright. His straw hat tips to one side when the wind blows hard, though it never quite falls off.
