Tree coloring pages: fruit trees, forest trees, and seasonal
What do kids learn about nature by coloring trees?
Trees are the gateway to the natural world. This collection includes fruit trees (apple, orange, cherry), forest trees (pine, oak), palm trees, autumn trees with fallen leaves, spring trees with flowers, and landscapes with groups of trees. The drawings have clear outlines and large areas (trunk, canopy) perfect for kids ages 2 to 6.
Coloring trees teaches that nature changes with the seasons: in spring they have flowers, in summer green leaves, in autumn yellow/orange/red leaves, in winter they are bare. It's a natural introduction to the cycle of seasons. Kids also learn parts of the tree (root, trunk, branches, leaves, fruit) and can discover that fruit trees give us foods they eat every day.
Parent tip: if there are trees in your neighborhood, go look at them after coloring. Ask your child to identify the type ("is it like the one in your drawing?"). That connection between the drawn and the real is powerful. The drawings are printable in A4 and can also be colored online.
