The baby panda rolls through the grass and ends up on its back, paws in the air, before working its way upright again with a clumsy effort. Its fur is thick and soft, and it scratches one ear with a hind paw before climbing awkwardly onto a fallen log. When something startles it — a rustle among the stalks, a passing shadow — it freezes for a second and then goes right back to what it was doing. Sometimes it falls asleep leaning against a rock, its head tilted to one side.
