The baby sea turtle crawls out of the sand and moves in short steps toward the water, leaving two parallel tracks behind it. It pauses for a moment when a gust of wind blows sand into its face, shaking its head before continuing on. Small waves reach it and push it back a little, but it keeps pressing forward, flippers working nonstop. When a bigger wave finally lifts it up, it slides into the water and starts swimming with looser, freer movements than it had on the sand.
