Several fruits of different shapes and sizes rest against one another inside a basket woven from crossing strips. Some are round and smooth, others long or slightly rough skinned, and each settles into whatever gap it finds among the rest. The weave of the basket forms a pattern of lines crossing at different angles, leaving small gaps between one strip and the next. The whole arrangement looks neat but not perfect, as if someone put it together with whatever was close at hand.
